Rock wool insulation materials have a variety of uses in the construction field, mainly including exterior wall insulation, curtain wall fire protection, interior wall insulation system, single-layer roofing system, etc.
Exterior wall insulation: Rock wool board is specially designed for the exterior wall insulation thin plaster system of buildings, and is suitable for exterior wall insulation or energy-saving renovation of new or existing buildings with dense structures such as concrete or brick walls. It can improve the fire protection function of the exterior wall of the building, and has high compressive and tensile strength and durability indicators, ensuring the long-term stability and reliability of product performance. Rock wool does not burn, does not release heat and toxic smoke, and can effectively block the spread of flames when a fire occurs, and has strong fireproof performance. At the same time, it also has excellent thermal insulation performance, which can improve the thermal resistance value of the building envelope structure, reduce the energy consumption of building heating and air conditioning, and achieve energy conservation and emission reduction.
Fire protection for curtain walls: Rock wool can optimize the safety performance of curtain walls and is suitable for thermal insulation treatment of various types of wall panels such as non-visible parts of glass curtain walls and stone curtain walls. In curtain wall fire protection applications, rock wool is often used as a fire partition between floors, improving safety performance by blocking gaps, and preventing fire and smoke from spreading along the curtain wall or through the floors in case of fire.
Interior wall insulation system: Rock wool is also used in interior wall insulation systems, providing effective insulation and energy saving, fire prevention, and extreme climate protection.
Single-layer roofing system: Rock wool is used as the main insulation material in single-layer roofing systems and is used in combination with a variety of polymer waterproof materials, such as TPO, PVC, EPDM, and modified asphalt waterproofing membranes. Rock wool has good mechanical properties, fire resistance, and chemical stability, making it the mainstream insulation material for single-layer roofs.
