FANRYN Introduces CLASS B0 Rubber Insulation Sheet, Setting a New Standard in Fire Safety and Performance

November 19, 2025

FANRYN CLASS B0 Rubber Insulation Sheet Launch

In a significant step towards safer and more efficient building insulation, FANRYN is proud to announce the launch of its premium CLASS B0 Rubber Insulation Sheet. This advanced material is engineered to meet the most stringent international fire safety standards, including the rigorous BS476 Part 6 requirements, achieving a Class 0 rating.

Key Features and Performance

While our established CLASS B1 sheet (black) offers excellent performance with an oxygen index of ≥32%, the new CLASS B0 (charcoal-grey) raises the bar with an exceptional oxygen index of ≥40% and a lower Smoke Density Rating (SDR ≤65). This makes it the ideal choice for projects where superior fire resistance and low smoke emission are critical, such as high-rise buildings, hospitals, and public transport systems.

Feature CLASS B1 (Black) CLASS B0 (Charcoal-Grey)
Fire Safety Standard Good performance BS476 Part 6, Class 0
Oxygen Index ≥32% ≥40%
Smoke Density Rating (SDR) Standard ≤65
Thermal Conductivity ≤0.031 W/(m·K) ≤0.031 W/(m·K)
Other Benefits Excellent moisture resistance, high flexibility Excellent moisture resistance, high flexibility

Beyond its outstanding fire performance, the CLASS B0 sheet retains all the benefits of the FANRYN rubber insulation line, including a low thermal conductivity of ≤0.031 W/(m·K), excellent moisture resistance, and high flexibility for easy installation on complex shapes.

"This launch underscores our commitment to innovation and safety," said the Product Manager at FANRYN. "We are providing the global market with a reliable, high-performance solution that architects and engineers can specify with confidence."
