Manufactured using low-density polyethylene (LDPE), AC foaming agents, and eco-friendly functional additives, the raw materials are melted, mixed, extruded, chemically cross-linked, and continuously foamed under high temperature. This process creates a lightweight, flexible closed-cell substrate with excellent thermal performance and long-term durability.

For HVAC applications, the foam can be laminated with reflective aluminum PET foil and pre-coated with a water-based self-adhesive backing, forming an integrated duct insulation wrap that simplifies installation and enhances energy efficiency.

How XPE Foam Works

XPE foam is manufactured using chemical cross-linking technology – a process where cross-linking agents are evenly blended into polyethylene pellets during extrusion. After high-temperature foaming, a stable three-dimensional polymer network forms inside the foam, creating independent closed cells that trap air and resist heat transfer.
